More than 30% of employees put their firms at risk: Duo Security

Duo Security, a cloud-based trusted access provider, today published research that illustrates the risk phishing attacks present in the enterprise. Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager Software receives upgrade

Power management company Eaton recently launched Intelligent Power Manager software version 1.53, which it said provides IT managers with improved protection for data centre IT equipment through integration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) OneView and new functionality with the OpenStack management platform.
Through these integrations, the company added, the software gives IT professionals the insight and control they need to manage and mitigate issues such as overheating equipment and power anomalies in order to improve availability of critical resources and maintain business continuity. Operators of data centres require significant visibility into their infrastructure, as adverse events such as overheating and power loss can lead to significant revenue loss. Celliboost mobile system designed to be used in rugged terrain

Israeli entrepreneurs have developed and begun marketing secure mobile broadband technology for rugged terrain. The technology, developed by start-up Celliboost, is based on a standalone mobile system that uses ordinary mobile infrastructure for fast transmission of large-volume landline-quality high-resolution data, audio, and video communications.
Designed for communications in rural and open areas, the Celliboost system is suitable for militaries, security and homeland security organizations, law enforcement, and emergency services, as well as telecommunications companies, such as radio and television stations.
The technology offers broadband access for both Internet and control centres of end-customers and allows the simultaneous use of up to four mobile channels, independent of the mobile operator, and supports two operating methods — bonding and load balancing.
According to the company, the algorithm-supported system can link to any communications interface, including satellite and ADSL, across all operating characteristics of the broadband channel. » Read More
